2024 NBA Draft Results Are In
The 2024 NBA draft has come to a close, with the first overall pick going to French prospect Zaccharie Risacher. This marks the second year in a row that the top selection has come from France.
The draft was full of surprises, with several players going higher or lower than expected. The biggest surprise of the night was the selection of Jaden Bradley at No. 2 overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Bradley was widely projected to go in the top 10, but he ended up going second overall.
Another surprise was the selection of Keyontae Johnson at No. 5 overall by the San Antonio Spurs. Johnson was considered a potential lottery pick, but he ended up going outside of the top 10.
The draft was also notable for the number of trades that were made. The most significant trade of the night was the one that sent Dejounte Murray from the San Antonio Spurs to the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks also traded away John Collins in the deal.
The 2024 NBA draft is now complete, and the teams will now begin to prepare for the upcoming season.
